I still think Dunkey summed it up best when he said (not an exact quote) "Horizon: Zero Dawn is remembered for coming out the same week as Breath of the Wild, and Horizon: Forbidden West will be that game that came out the same month as Elden Ring."
I've got nothing against the Horizon franchise, but I've never touched it because I've always been too busy playing GOTY open world games during Horizon's release window / most culturally-relevant time in its lifespan.
I'm kind of surprised anyone would choose to copy it, honestly. Maybe Tencent will even plan the release date to get overshadowed by something like Elder Scrolls 6, just to mirror Horizon as closely as possible, lol

I've been low on funds, so I've been playing some of the ps+ games.

BioMutant is just Horizon but with the Palicos from Monster Hunter and instead of robot dinosaurs it's mutant furballs.

I'm not gonna diss the game just yet. People say that Genshin Impact was considered a BotW clone, yet now, despite people's protests, it became a hit worldwide.
