I didnt think that I would come across such weird, yet soothing version of black metal!

I just saw this released 6 hours ago and hopped on and I gotta say. Soothing...

Alright, something genius is happening here I can feel it. First of all, the main melody consists of metal instrumentals, you know, the classic drums and guitars. Then, there is this counter melody of strings, pianos, and the occasional harps. (if my ear has not mistaken)The vocals are kinda like that too. It's mainly the iconic vocal fries of metal but there's the occasional angelic choir [like in the title track (3)]and also these deep distorted voices that are iconic in vaporwave. All these sounds are juxtaposition, I wouldn't imagine them to work but they do and I have not seen that happen before. (If there are any other albums like this please let me know I love this)
It's like a combination of heaven and hell and we're in the middle. This is when I thought "hey! then this should be sounds from Earth" but then I notice the album cover and I realize this kinda be like the snake in the garden of Eden. The sounds describe it quite literally, it is metal in the middle of all the soft counter melodies, like a snake in the middle of paradise.


I don't know if I'm looking too deep into this but I just realized this and wanted to share my view.
