Would it work if i have a 4 inch deep area, and i fill 2 inches with compacted paver sand and then 2 inches of compacted decomposed granite? Im trying to install the turf myself correctly but also to save money

Doesn't using a granite dust mean it will hold dog urine and eventually smell? Or the zeolite does it all?
