my experience with my first studio monitor + unbalanced cable setup (presonus eris 3.5) is that the system crackles after it puts itself into away or shutdown mode so i come back after sleeping and there is a really high chance that there will be crackling in the monitors. What has fixed it every time has been just resetting my computer. Balanced cables coming in the future to avoid the annoyance though

Still got a nasty buzz in DAW studio monitors with shielded cables. NOT "crystal clear sound". Any other suggestions?

this is helpful! I sometimes have to work without an audio interface tho. Would you know what to do in that case?

For example, my mic is connected to the computer via usb and my earphones are connected directly on the mic itself. Recordings have no problem but I hear the crackle as I monitor my own speaking voice so it's distracting :( . Would getting TRS earphones solve that? thanks so much!
