I'm losing my apartment in 2 weeks. Have a 4 year old and a dog.
Thank you for your video. Although I can't do a task like this by myself, I plan to take some tips you used to make something that can help get me and my babies through.

Think I'm going to try to lease a truck and create a makeshift home for us until I can save money for a new place.

Did you borrow screws from you aunt to fasten the galvanized steel?

Awesome! An improvement to your build would be an extension to fill out the space above the cab. That way you end up with way more space and make it more aerodynamic as well.

Looks great guys! One caution: The 16ga extension cord you used is rated up to 13 amps or 1430 watts. Most space heaters can run up to 1800 watts so if you try to plug it in, you will overload and overheat the wires. What you can do is buy a 12ga cord and plug that in separately in your campground outlet.

Great build. If you don’t want your water to taste like a garden hose. Get the white RV hose a huge difference.

as a fellow builder, this is very smart and efficiently made. This is the first build I've been truly impressed by for a long time. Gonna make my own plans to make one too!

I think what keeps the cost down is the fact that they have amazing DIY skills, so there's no labour costs. Great job, guys! Also I'm worried about what they're going to do when they need to replace the extension cord. Rip up all the walls/ceiling?

It might not have cost much, but the skillset and quality of workmanship is priceless 😊

Great job! I’d want a rail for that upper bunk, but all in all the camper looks like a hit! And for the price… wow!

With the lower bed I would’ve made it so it has storage and make a couple legs for support and extend the lower bed out a little bit and have a couple Velcro/ magnetic cushions so that they stay in place :) great build 10/10

you guys should use lighter colors like white, grey etc. because darker colors you used like dark blue and black absorb more heat when the suns out so that means it will be very hot inside

Thats an amazing DIY. Love it. One thing ive learned is that staining your boards (especially for the ceiling) prior to installing them is much easier than staining them once theyre on the ceiling. Same goes for trim

Outstanding build! As a long-time DIY'er, re-purposer, and inventor, you guys did a GREAT job! 👍

Honestly, compared to things like the underwater house or the buried minivan, this seems insanely easy for our duo to tackle.

Really impressive- well done guys! I was thinking like another person who posted...that the ideas you shared would be such a potential way to help homeless ppl have a temporary roof while they figured the how-to get back on their feet❤
Amazing skills and speed!

It's so wholesome and sweet to see the dad come out and help his boys build a "tree house" for their truck.❤🤗

A black roof?!
Going to make it hotter inside compared to a silver color 🥵
