Let's talk about testosterone. The Galveston Diet and Mary Claire Wellness are all curated FOR the menopausal woman. This is our specialty. Hormone replacement therapy is important during this stage of a woman's life if done CORRECTLY. We are not little men. We are not supposed to have the same amount of testosterone as men. It is simply a small replacement. Many physicians overdose testosterone and it is unacceptable. If this feels like it could be happening to you, here are links to help you learn to talk to your physician.

- About Dr. Mary Claire Haver and The Galveston Diet -
Dr. Mary Claire Haver is a passionate women’s health advocate who believes women in midlife deserve to live their best life. She cuts through fat-shaming and fads, so women are empowered with the science behind anti-inflammation nutrition.

Dr. Mary Claire Haver is a wife, mom, physician, and entrepreneur who has devoted her adult life to women’s health. As a Board-Certified OBGYN in the Houston area, Dr. Haver has delivered thousands of babies, completed thousands of well-woman exams, counseled patients, taught residents, and did everything an academic professor and OBGYN could do.

As her patient population aged, Dr. Haver was overwhelmed with the number of complaints and concerns her patients had with weight gain while going through menopause. For years, she told her patients to eat less and exercise more. It wasn't until she experienced the changes of menopause and mid-life weight gain that she realized this advice doesn't work and ultimately led to her creating and developing a new program, The Galveston Diet.

The Galveston Diet is the first and only nutrition program created by a Female OBGYN, designed for women in menopause. The Galveston Diet helps women reach their health and wellness goals through an anti-inflammatory approach to nutrition. Dr. Haver believes in food's power to combat inflammation and highly recommends the unlimited benefits of intermittent fasting. As part of her ongoing research, she became certified in Culinary Medicine in 2019, specializing in medical nutrition.

I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm a 47 yo woman who has been dismissed by doctors my entire life. We need more doctors like you to help us ladies out in this world ❤️

My doctor sells the pellets and I kept telling them that I was getting too much testosterone and they blew me off. Finally I told them no more but too late for the irreversible side effects. They wanted me to keep going while they treated the side effects. How can they call themselves professionals when they know they are causing women harm by overdosing with the pellets. The money is more important than integrity. Dr. Mary is a true hero for women!!! She’s in it for the truth. I encourage everyone to support her with likes and comments and books and supplements so that she can help even more women get the best possible health care.

I blame doctors who say testosterone of 10 is normal and do nothing to help.

Many many years ago my physician prescribed testosterone alternatively with birth control pills 💊. You can not believe the emotional roller coaster that put me on. Eventually I opted for an IUD. I continued to have extremely heavy periods and ended up in hospital with hemorrhaging and anemia. Women NEED proper hormonal care. It's not "in our heads"
Thank you for your channel 🙏 ❤

Yep, happened to me too with my first doctor. I didn’t know any better, and ended up being an angry, manic, mess.
Got a new dr. 🤞🏻

Thank you. I am an RN and used BHRT compounded in the absolutely lowest dose possible for two years during me menopausal transitin. I was then able to slowly titrate off of them and am now a vibrant, healthy 68 yo woman.

Also—you can get overdosed with testosterone if your husband is using topical testosterone cream and you touch or rub that site. It happened to me, I was sick for 6 months and had horrible mood swings and rage. It turned out I was getting large amount of testosterone every day by simply having skin to skin contact. His doctor never warned him about that. I was lucky to have discovered it through a hormone test. I was starting to have chest pain too, it’s no joke, my testosterone levels were astronomically high. BEWARE.

Ty for speaking up against other providers and standing up for your patience. Im 43 have had Endo for close to 30 years had a full hysterectomy at 29. I have been misdiagnosed and under treated by soo many doctors. I cant tell you how many times ive had a doctor act insulted that I said this about another doctor then automatically start blowing me off and basically try to tell me its in my head. After many many years I just recently found a doctor that listens and actually specializes in wemons health. I literally broke down and cried because I was nervous this would be yet another doctor to blow me off and because she was so amazing. Wemon need more doctors like you.

I went to a noby GYN they asked me why I was there. I told them that I felt I was in perimeter pause and I was concerned that I should get all my levels checked before even doing any exam whatsoever, she said will then let me write you a prescription for estrogen. I said why in God's name? Would you prescribe me something without even knowing what my body levels are? It's a sad reality that doctors are just about writing prescriptions and trying to push depression and anxiety medication instead of actually doing the work.

I'm turning 38 in February and because of you I realized that all my other symptoms could be LOW ESTROGEN. I'm still nursing my 1 year old just 2-3 times a day. Just before naps and bedtime. I think it could be my age and the nursing that causing it. SO GRATEFUL to find your channel and now I can at least have a great heads up!! I do not have a good relationship with my mother at all so I wouldn't have known a single thing about Menopause and I had never even known it's just a one time event and there's a build up before it and the effects after. I was so uninformed!!! I don't have hot flashes, but I cannot sleep, I have EXTREMELY dry skin, thin hair at my temples that keeps growing back and then thinning again, I've changed my shampoos and conditioners thinking it was that. I've been so moody just today I was getting overly emotional and crying as if I was a pregnant woman! My neck has been itching like crazy. I feel so much stress in my neck and shoulders all day long it causes me to feel fatigue and NOT wanting to leave the house. I'm just a stay-at-home Mother with a 4 year old and 1 year old. It feels like that's all I can manage and anything else is too much. I'm always just trying to take 5 min to do deep breaths, been drinking "Positive Energy" Tea which helps so much with the ashwaghanda!! But now I'm going to look into other herbal supplements. I've been bingewatching your channel now all week!!!

I knew a woman who was a “natural” healthcare specialist. She had pellets implanted and the only reason I knew is because I was her massage therapist and she told me to avoid the area due to the pellets in her glutes. She was always normal and friendly before but I noticed a significant change in her personality after the pellet thing as she saw me for treatment once per week. Let’s just say the change was not a change for the better and she was like a different Haughty type personality after some time. Some of her employees I worked on also quit working for her because of it.

This is exactly why I went off the pellets. My testosterone levels were through the roof! My libido was that of a 19 year old boy. I switched over to the patch, progesterone, and Dhea last fall. I feel fantastic!

My doctor had me go with pellets and my T was at 250. They never gave me E and my E blood level was <11.
I am so glad I found your channel and am now trying something else

Thank you! I had pellets twice. Overdosed the first time. Tried again when I was going on an extended trip. I was given a smaller dose, but still had some symptoms. No more pellets for me—only topical.
I’m considering discounting testosterone.

I just found out today from my hormone specialist that I have a testosterone level of 258. This is the first post I have seen online and I’ve been searching for about two hours now about overdosing of testosterone. I’m so thankful to have found this! I’ve been taking 5 mg cream daily for over a year for energy and libido and have been experiencing extreme anxiety and depression. My doc suggested going cold turkey and starting on progesterone as I am nine days before my period. Can you speak to how to titrate off of testosterone safely? everything I’ve seen online about going cold turkey talks about getting anxiety and depression, which is exactly what I’m just trying to get out of. I’m calling my doctor back again tomorrow, but shooting for the moon for a reply tonight! Whenever you can, I am grateful to get a second opinion! Thank you so much for your time and expertise!
