It's sad that nice people get taken advantage of like that. A similar thing happened to me in roblox when I was 10 lol, thankfully I learnt my lesson and never fell for a scam like that ever again.

3:50 hi, I might be able to help you, completely understand Microsoft does nothing to help get the account back, the reason why they say they can’t get the account back is because Microsoft has no actual proof that you owned the account, which is not your fault AT ALL, they can look up the gamertag/Mojang account and see the email and when the security was changed, this shows that the scammer changed the verification, also when you said the account got locked, this is actually true, the reason it got locked is because the main domain (primary email) got changed, leading to what you would call a compliance lock. Now tbh I’m not sure if you know about what I’m saying already, you did say you are like og ign communities, but I’m not 100% sure if you are talking about JUST Java/mojang, OR Xbox/gamertags.

My one question is, was the account ‘Device’ ONLY on Mojang, or was it on Xbox + mojang? Just curious because the account would get locked either way if it was on Xbox.

You can still get it back. My old Microsoft account was stolen and it got locked permanently. I got the xbox account migrated to a new microsoft account and the other data was transferred.

I just had my account stolen 9 days ago. Microsoft hasn’t contacted me back yet but all signs show that I’m not getting my account back. That was my only account and I had spent 9k hours on it and 120$ on it. (For ranks and the game itself).

Sad, so many hackers everywhere! The hacker who had access to the YouTuber's account is evil, he manipulated and lied then took what he wanted. It's sad that hacking Minecraft accounts is a fairly large thing in the og/cape community, and all for some cool names and capes. At least Device is now locked though, so neither he nor the people who he sold the account to can no longer use it.

Also just wanna mention if you have the transaction ID which you would find in your email you can contact mojang and get the account back. But I don't know if they can unlock the account or not. I am speaking from experience as I also have been scammed off of a minecraft account before.

exact same thing happened to me on the microsoft part,
Made like 5 tickets ( over 4 months )
They always said it will take less than 72 hours, i provided all the evidence,
and only after 5 tickets they locked the account, now there's nothing i can do..

I think they should make both sides prove that they " own " the account, instead of making the clear victim,
but I also do understand it is for security measures,

At the end of the day, it sucks to suck. Lost 400$
