Ari, I listen daily and am recovering Republican who left when the tea party began. For years I had believed the “righteous right” and raised that way. I thank God for leading out of that. I’m a follower of Jesus and so much of Trump and his allies who clam to believers should follow the teachings of Jesus. Trump is a cult leader with no more common sense of many those who follow him. Well within the Inner Circle they say the idea of the tariffs was to demolish the bad trade deals that we had like with the World Trade Organization and or NAFTA being unfair for America. While in my heart I believe it's true was not a good trade for America and a lot of the trades we've done with China have not been good because now we have to subsidize things like aluminum or steel production. This is so we could have the same kind of production power that other countries have. While it's true that we really have destroyed our ability to produce steel and aluminum competitively across the world the real issue is that it makes us reliable on China to build if we don't. So in short what I would like to know is has he specified or has anyone said that this tariff deal has in fact made our trade agreements better at all? Or better yet has the tariffs made the other countries back out of NAFTA and such?? My point is saying this is is I don't see any news media holding him accountable to those promises. Don't get me wrong I'm not praising Trump here because I think the way he went about it was very bombastic and unnecessary. President is nothing more then I glorified ambassador of our country to the world and should not have a hand in personal politics because if his relationship is bad with a foreign government it makes our relationship bad with foreign government.
