Thank you for not sugar coating this! I am going to start a geodome glamping site as well. I am expecting to pay $112, 000 ; however, my best friend and I built our own house 2021-2023 and our motto is "Lessons were learned." This time we'll hire Electric and HVAC but he's a carpenter and figured out plumbing and complex electrical. He's been a general contractor on whole house builds so I can pay low prices. I've been a realtor and a notary and Sgt for Sheriff's office and Board Chair of a non profit that helps with housing issues. We will do our own permits, building etc. I will hire out sewer and water connections as well. I'm looking at buying or leasing land for this. I have a friend with Water front property and full hook ups but the land is 1 hr drive away. I can buy land that is closer and has higher occupancy rates on Airbnb. Thank you!!!

If your doing it Diy and not paying for everyone to do everything you can cut 65 percent of the total cost easily. Study plan prep you can do it!

That’s crazy! I have a 7m dome for you that’s an even thicker pvc dip then pacific dome’s for 5925! Don’t be fooled by big companies it’s the same dome’s!

I was going to put up a site far from my house, but am now thinking about keeping it close enough to save on the utilities, septic etc...

My site is much more money then we thought. Water and septic and electric atleast 15, 000 maybe more if they hit any more rock. 77, 000 for two hillside pads with fill and gravel….25, 000 for 30 foot dome with insulation….no deck built yet….no inside build…..at 140 thousand before even starting on putting up deck

I appreciated the video. We're currently researching a geodome home and want all the info we can get!

That’s even crazier the liner gives you no R-value. It’s like an R7.!! It’s just your drywall you still have to buy insulation and add vapor wall. You can line your dome whatever you want. but if you want the liner for a 7 m dome I got it for like 4000 delivered to your house. Maybe even 3000 I have to check.

Hey! @BrillantChoiceHospitality. Great video, thank you for all the tips, following now! One big question... You mentioned (in another video of yours) that you realized that your original lot size was too small reason why you went for 5 acres? or maybe 10? Can't honestly recall. So, the questions is, do you think Gampling is not suitable for lot size smaller than 5 acres? We have a 1.25 lot and are we are day dreaming about building one site for our personal use and rent to friends and family, then expand if that works well. What are your thoughts on smaller lots?

I just found a $15, 000 piece of land, need a deck and the dome, planning on using it myself with my girl and 2 dogs (not Airbnb/rental) like a camping site. I’ll take my own propane camping stove, camping bathroom, camping shower setup. This hopefully will be no more than $30, 000🤞🏽

Thank you, I took notes on everything you mentioned. Just curious how to finance all of this. I know with the tiling you said that they had a finance option and I believe in your other video you mentioned that contractors want cash and not to use credit. Did you take out personal loans for septic, water, electric, heating and cooling, etc? What were some key take aways or how much cash should you have and what can you get away with financinng? Was Pacific Domes financed? I am brand new into researching this industry and currently saving the past year. Thanks for your insights!!!

Are there good options out there to go with a solid wall?

Just want you to know how much I hated this video 😤

Well not hate 😫

I don’t know how I feel lol

Thank you for the video. I had some money saved up to do a dome and was thinking about starting the process soon. And then you dropped this bombshell of how much it cost. So I hate that you brought me back to reality. But I am happy you made this video and made told the truth about the cost. Would have been disappointed if I started the site thinking my $40, 000 could have gotten it done. I appreciate it.

Is it still cheaper than a stick built home?

How is it with the humidity and mold inside. I have the same dome with the isolation liner coming up, and my dad sais the mold and humidity in the winter will be very bad... Thank you 🙏

Great content, thank you. I’m quoting well and septic now but was planning for growth up to 6 structures. How many more can you add based on what you went with or is your plan to stop two?
