I think these songs ultimately ended up in the right place. Great self-awareness by Gloria Estefan to give “Let’s Get Loud” to J-Lo. Great song, but it really does sound similar to a lot of Gloria’s discography.

As much as I adore Brittany’s version I would love to hear a Janet Jackson cover. I wonder how the two artists would sound on a collab. I think they're a pair you would consider until you thought about it. It's like asking how Katy Perry and Amy Whinehouse (I feel like I spelled that wrong) would sound on a track together.

This totally shows how much a music producer has an affect on the final product.

Pretty hurts so perfect for Beyonce. Just curious to hear the original version by Sia.

Listen, only an artist knows if they have a song that holds meaning and expression that they’re wanting to display. If they’re not feeling it, neither will we 💕

I'm in Stunned Disbelief that 'Umbrella' rejected by Britney Spears & sung by Rihanna wasn't on your list when it should have been # 1 !!

One of my favorites is "Everytime You Go Away (You Take a Part of Me)" by Paul Young after written and recorded by Hall and Oates.

One interesting case was around the recording of "It's Raining Men", a one-hit wonder by The Weather Girls in 1982, I think. Before the song got to them, one of the writers of the song, Paul Shaffer, offered it to Donna Summer more or less as a comeback song after the popularity of disco had died down. However, she had become a Born again Christian by that time, and she had a bit of an issue with the chorus where it mentions "Hallelujah, it's raining men. Amen!". Can't really blame her for that.

I don't know if "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder would count here since it was originally written by him for Jeff Beck. Beck was all set to record it but Motown's Berry Gordy stepped in and made sure that Wonder recorded it and released it first. By the time Beck's debut album, which contained his cover of the track, came out, "Superstition" had already started tearing up the charts, peaking at #1.

Michael Jackson's 1st Solo hit "Ben" was written for Donny Osmond. Donny was busy touring with brothers so the song was offered to Michael.
One Bad Apple by The Osmond's was written for the Jackson 5. They turned it down to do ABC and One Bad Apple became The Osmond's first number 1 hit.
