Jose Abreu was the glue that held that team together. Once he was allowed to leave (No issue with that decision), the team no longer had a leader in the lockerroom and it was immediately a bunch of kids with no direction or maturity.

Reinsdorf has publicly stated he prefers mediocrity - explains a lot

Funny not bringing up LaRussa's DUI right before spring training lol It was always funny seeing that dinosaur try to walk to the mound. Thank goodness for tivo, saved 5 minutes every time! White Sox and The Bulls will never win another Championship with ANY REINSDORF in control.

I’ll never forget when Tim Anderson hit that walk off at the field of dreams that was one of the greatest moments in white soxs history 💯

Biggest issue was not upgrading in the holes in the line up. Never finished the rebuild. Did not sign or trade for a legit 2b or RF 2 of the biggest holes after the 21’ season and same for 22’. Not getting another arm in the rotation. They decided to go for a bullpen build that didn’t work out instead of adding another arm in the rotation. Cueto did turn out to be good but Kopech was not a starter. Giolito was bad in 22’ as well they could have used another starter instead of shopping on the bargain bin. Jerry just was not willing to go all in.

it's amazing how quick the White Sox went from a serious championship contender to having a 21 game losing streak and being absolute garbage now with no sense of direction

Don't forget that's the same owner who own the Chicago Bulls, and that's all i have to say about that.

They were always a flawed team with waay too many DH/1B types and an empty farm system outside of their top prospects, most of whom were acquired in deadline deals. They couldn't develop anyone and probably still can't.

They weren't close to a potential dynasty. This isnt the 90's Indians.

This is all spot on. Doesn't help that Jerry is ok with losing as long as tickets are selling.

They’re more of a ytsanyd.

Remember when KC lost 100 or more four of five years? Houston losing well over 100 for three straight?

That’s the W-Sox current address. Not to fear, my Rockies are there as well. 🙄

Herm Schneider was the best trainer in baseball for decades. Without him this team has seen nothing but injury after injury. That is a major reason for development stagnation and building a reliable roster to move towards visible goals. Also not spending on productive pieces to fill out a contender doesn't help.

Literally the biggest issue is ownership, Jerry Reinsdorf just absolutely suck at every level of being an owner and it showed with him basically allowing this to happen in a span of 4 years. Crazy that what could’ve been a dynasty turned into a laughing stock of the MLB, worse than the fucking Rockies man, THE ROCKIES!

I never bought into the idea that the White Sox were destined to be a dynasty in baseball, even during their original rebuild. I just never thought highly of the guys they acquired in deals like Moncada, Jiménez and Kopech. They never stood out to me even though they were in the minors. There were two trades that they made in the past decade that I thought severely set them back; the trade that involved acquiring Jeff Samardzija from the A's in exchange for Marcus Semien and Chris Bassitt, and that deal with the Red Sox for Chris Sale, which gave them Moncada and Kopech. The latter I thought was the biggest blunder of them all and it would set them back even further and sure enough it has. They just continuously make the wrong moves time and time again, their prospects never pan out, they made the nonsensical decision to bring Tony LaRussa out of retirement and make him manager, and they absolutely deserve to be in the position that they're in. No sympathy at all for them.

Injuries and management are the #1 and #2 reasons we fell apart. Its amazing how people just sheep over thr same excuse over and over. Yes management was terrible but most people completely dismiss the fact that iur core kept getting injured AND always had to reset after every injury, or played through injury, or simply got fatigued trying to come back. This led to a loss of morale.

Jerry needs to sell. All Chicago fans have been saying it since 2009. He sucks

Robbie, could you take the White Sox a no step further? What I mean I n is could you go beyond your conclusion that ownership needs to go and the front office needs overhauled. Assuming Reinsdorf sells Who is your choice for GM? How would you rebuild the farm? What would you do to improve the product on t h e no field. I’d like you to consider coming up with a plan to rebuild the White Sox and how you would carry it out. Thanks you Robbie 😊

The Braves are the White Sox rebuild but done right. Both rebuilds have a similar blueprint.
