Products I Regret Buying (Makeup) | Rachael Jade

In this video I show and chat about some makeup items that just didn't work out for me and I regret purchasing. Maybe this will help you guys avoid some makeup fails of your own :)

While these products didn't work out for me, it doesn't mean that they will not work out for you. This is just my personal experience & opinion, everybody is different. Not liking one particular product is not a reflection of the brand as a whole.

You can use the purple in the australis palette to cover sallowness or to brighten dull skin because it is opposite to yellow

You should have taken the Estee Lauder foundation back! I got colour matched completely wrong as well! It was about 4 shades way too dark and orange! I took it back and went to a different Myer and they colour matched me to the right colour and I love that foundation! Definitely try it again, it's a great foundation!

Purple removes the hyperpigmentation. Some undereye circles are  dark brown

Hooray! This was the video I wanted to watch. Videos like this just makes you seem more real cos we ALL regret buying things. Like you said, you can do all the research you can but it can still be a dud.
The purple "concealer" is purely for brightening and it works. I haven't tried that particular one but I have purple based products and they do brighten!
I regret buying the reckon colorstay foundation cos the shade is just way too pink and I can't use it. Same with the dream fresh bb cream. I love it but once again, not pink toned. :(((

The purple concealer is made for brightening underneath the eyes, but not to correct. Love your video btw! :D

lilac correctors will help counteract yellow or 'sallowness' in the skin, never under the eyes! :) it's a good brighten color

I love the australis concealer !! My fave thing and the under eye corrected works better than my max factor one

That bbu palette is really for working MUA's, I have it in my kit and love it. The product is best used after warming it up on the back of your hand and you don't need much, it's not meant to cover the entire undereye - that causes creasing. I would suggest anyone that's not an MUA to not purchase that palette...you would never use it all and that's a lot of wastage. Hope you can make it work, it is awesome! I was not a fan of the Australis brow gel...the colours are off. Love these videos, you look beautiful xxx

Maybe something to try with the Ben Nye concealer palette: a damp beauty blender/ makeup sponge really helps with the blending, etc because I believe it's a wax based product :)
