My summation: This is the best and most handsome line of Hawaiian male dancers in recent memory combined with the singing of a cerebrally musical and vocal genius Kalani Pea with the musical band and arrangement of music to go with this modern interpretation of the oldest Hawaiian historically meaningful, and beautiful hula dance. The beauty of men center stage. I heard that how chiefs chose their warriors, they would go to the dance schools and cultural centers and would have the teachers bring out their finest male dancers. The chief would watch the dancers to help him choose the best warriors. Dancing takes courage, strength, flexibility, co-ordination, discipline, spirit and body awareness!
