this is the best review possible you knocked it out of the park… I just bought this model because of your video. I just wanted a enterprise replica without spending a fortune and this one looks like it will be fine. I think the lights are really cool and it won't take much to repaint the impulse drive at the back of the saucer whatever it's called I can fix that up… But anyway what a fantastic review

Diamond Select/ Art Asylum versions, especially the HD version in my opinion are way better. Sad that they shut down their production 😪. Was really looking forward to the U.S.S. Reliant. Great review! Thanks 👍

The saucer section on the old version is quite a bit bigger. The side decals on the secondary hull are placed too high because of the battery compartment, the prototype didn't have that large of a battery cover.

Looking through your videos, unless I'm just missing them, I'm surprised you have never did an unboxing and examination of the superb original Playmates STTNG Enterprise and the DS9 Space Station. I have both in excellent working condition, though my Enterprise was purchased back in 1995 when it came out and the station was a recent eBay buy, mint in box (now out and on my bookshelf, though I definitely kept the box). Highly recommend them. Same for the STTNG Transporter, if only for the decent Pepper's Ghost illusion trick.

If the finish was dulled, the bussard collectors were clear and the dish were metalized, it would look even better

What kind of scale is playmates enterprise, is it 1/1000 or 1/350 ?

It's alright. I still like the old one better. Another thing is, have you seen the new action figures? They are horrible compared to the old ones.

New one is better. Original has way to many bogus and no panel detail on the saucer

For the price point I think that this is an exceptional toy. One suitable for a shelf in my office; but, with some care, it may be a fine addition to my home office as well.

I just got one of these, and I'm very happy with it. My only wish is that the photon torpedo sound and phaser were separate.

Very Cool ! I used to have the original Playmates Enterprise 1701, And I just picked up the new playmates ship I like it more !, question do you know when or if Diamond Select will be releasing the 1701-C painted lights & sounds version ?

I bought two of these and we put them together bullshit when you snap in the Naselle one light on one side wouldn’t work or one light on side would be very dim. You would have to unplug it plug it back in or move it around to get the lights to Properly work very loose connections. Also be careful when you unscrew the battery compartment because we went to take out the batteries and we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary just unscrewed the screw on the battery compartment door and suddenly heard something drop inside the unit and well now you can’t screw the battery compartment door back on because the piece that the screw screws into must be a separate piece and it dropped into The unit and so now you can’t plug-in I mean screw on the battery compartment door anymore and I’m not sure if I can get it opened to get that piece out or not and as far as the mystery sound effect I think that sound effect is supposed to be from something from the next generation
