Pretty sure flight is also a ki ability and so is all those times he deflects/catches energy blasts so there would definitely be a big drop in power...

If he could still catch/knock away blasts and could still fly and only lost the ability to attack at range, he'd probally still find a way to beat most of his enemies

Ki is how they're able to withstand large attacks how they're able to withstand punches from stronger enemies and they're also how they go fast and how they fly. Not being able to use chi in combat is similar to saying how fast could a runner run if you took away their legs
