Israel-Hamas war: U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Israel accepted a cease-fire deal to stop the war in Gaza. Hamas has yet to say 'yes' to the proposal. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu agreed to bring a close to the end of the 10-month conflict on Monday.

Hamas resumed negotiations this week with the U.S. bridging a proposal. Israeli PM Netanyahu said he had a very "constructive" meeting with Blinken. Hamas accused Netanyahu of "thwarting the mediators' efforts, according to Reuters.

Israeli war coverage: Hamas claimed responsibility for a bomb blast near a synagogue in Tel Aviv. A man carrying the bomb was killed at the scene in Israel's commercial capital, according to officials.

Israeli government spokesman David Mencer described the man carrying a backpack with explosives stating, "before he managed to reach a more heavily populated area."

So this is just a fake headline. You can’t have a ceasefire agreement if the two sides of the conflict have not agreed to, you know, cease fire. This administration is such a joke.

The Biden proposal makes no sense. It says that after finishing the negotiations and agreeing to it, between phase 1 and 2 there will be further negotiations. And during those, there will be a ceasefire for as long as the negotiations take. First of all, why not sort it all out in advance? What 3 step plan are you agreeing to if steps 2 and 3 are not set in stone?
But let's say that's somehow rational. What's stopping Hamas from going "no" on everything during those second negotiations, creating a neverending ceasefire from a neverending "negotiation"? Unless there's a time limit or an option for either side to call shenanigans and cancel the charade, Hamas will easily get what it wants, which is to stay in power as Israel leaves Gaza.
The plan also doesn't address the Hamas issue that Israel is battling, as far as any description of the Biden plan goes. It's about Israel stopping its war and hunt of Hamas, having a vague hostage exchange for prisoners, then Israel exiting Gaza while hoping more hostages get released, and sending aid to rebuild the Strip, perhaps for the last hostages, which Hamas will likely say "lol we don't have them" if they ever get that far.
Nothing that I can recall regarding demilitarizing and deradicalizing Gaza.
