Recipe for Crockpot Carnitas | Slow Cooker Mexican Pulled Pork

Hello Everyone!

Carnitas is a favorite of ours. Making it in a crockpot made it easy to enjoy on busy weekends. I hope you enjoy it as much as our family and friends have.

✨Spanish Rice & Refried Beans vlog

Carnitas
4-5 lbs. Pork Butt or Shoulder
3 t. Oregano (heaping)
2 t. Ground Cumin
2 t. Coarse Kosher Salt or 1 t. Table Salt (more to your taste once carnitas is done)
3 Cloves Garlic Chopped
1/2 White Onion Chopped (about 1 &1/2 Cups)
2-3 Navel Oranges Juiced (about 1/2 C. to 3/4 C fresh. juice)

Cook on high for 1 hour, then on low 5-6 hours. You can also cook on low 8-9 hours. Meat will be tender and pull apart easily when cooked.
For crispy carnitas, pan fry in 1 T. of vegetable oil in small batches, adding additional oil as needed.

I like to reserve half the cooking liquid and use as need be.
