****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******

Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.

We put out 5 new videos every week! Tuesday through Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!

Thank you so much for telling people NOT TO BURN poison ivy!! It can not only go into the lungs, but also affect your skin just like touching the plant does!! WONDERFUL video!!

Very educational! Even for someone who knows what poison ivy looks like by sight. I'm glad to know those few specifics for proper identification.

Really good explanation! Anytime I see plants with 3 leaves, or hairy vines growing on the fence I just leave them alone. Haha sometimes on hikes I try to avoid the plants on the sides

Great video. Thankfully here in the UK the most painful plants we have are good old stinging nettles! A pain for two days then gone. 😢

Back in early March of 1991 we had a terrible ice storm here in central/western NY state. Power was out for days. Needless to say there were hundreds of trees and tree tree limbs that came down from the weight of the thick ice. Later, once the ice had melted and people started the clean up, there were a lot of trees limbs and brush being burned. Obviously, someone in the area was burning brush/limbs that had Poison Ivy vines mixed in. Even through winter, the vines still contain some of the urushiol oil. My son who was outside playing, came in contact with some of the smoke. He ended up swelling up like a balloon...eyes swollen shut, and he ended up with huge red patches of the rash. Luckily it did not seem to get into his lungs! Please listen to Sarah, and DO NOT BURN POISON IVY. Even in winter! Thanks for another wonderful video.

Best video I have come across describing how to Identify poison ivy, I am currently in misery from the rash and having made it worse by showering with hot water spreading the oils and scratching before I knew what it was
