In 2019, Volkswagen released a futuristic concept car they define as “the leap in time” called the ID. Buggy. They described their vision as a concept of Californian dune buggies of the 1960s mixed with today’s lifestyle, with zero emission and high tech machine. The VW ID. Buggy is powered by a single rear mounted engine making around 201 horses and 228 lb ft torque with a 62 kWh battery pack for almost 300 horsepower combined. This car can drive a range of about 130 miles full charge. Volkswagen engineers added an auxiliary 95 hp motor to the front axle, they say further enhances off-road traction and shaves more than a second from the car's acceleration. It’s not quick, this was not the main incentive but electric power still gives it a kick! Very fun to ride in the game, cute engine sounding.
