for a few dollars more it can go both ways, bluetooth reciever AND transmitter so you can make any speaker a bluetooth speaker, OR transmit from like a gameboy TO a bluetooth speaker.
Because theres actually two ways to use these bluetooth adapters. One like the way you showed, turning any headphone or speaker into bluetooth speaker, the other way is to turn any old device bluetooth to work WITH an existing bluetooth speaker.

I have a similar Bluetooth module and use it with my TV and wireless headphones. It hooked up straight to the headphones and sounds great. Now I won’t wake up my wife while watching tv. Great video. I’m glad you were able to replace the battery before it caught fire.

I’ve had this issue from some motion detector nightlights, I think these crappy lithium’s are meant for one use in vapes, they inflate if they are left empty too long, so they normally send them with a small charge, the device must have activated by accident.

They say all you have to do is pin prick the battery, let the gas out and tape over the pin prick. I did that with my phone and it was fine for the year or so I used it after the the repair. As I recall it didn't happen again. I did the repair purely for the sake of curiosity.

The problem with these cheap bluetooth receivers is that they're usually mono not stereo. I bet the one you bought is mono. For around $20 you can get the FiiO BTR11 which is stereo.

its normal for aliexpress problems. the worse, they often sided with the scam sellers because they dont dont want to loose the commissions. more expensive ebay tends to be better but still has problems if the ebay representatives are from countries such as philippines

Generally speaking, It's probably be worthwhile seeing how much a few other (seemingly)independent traders sell the product for. If one is unusually cheap where it's too problematical to send it back (!!) - something I think some of them rely on!, then the ultra cheap one is likely to be a scam or has a major defect. So glad you got this one working. Many of these Li ion power supplies swell up. Sad to see - I suspect small amounts of water permeate through the casing and gradually/slowly produce hydrogen gas inside.

I still don't understand how you can produce and ship something like that for €1.75. I have no idea how many poor people were exploited for it, but it's unbelievable. It used to cost 30, 40, 50 eggs. And then you have the amazing ability to repair it straight away. That's good too. I would have to throw it away. Great. I think the blue mat you have as a work surface is great. Where did you get it from?

I had a battery do that on my Pure DAB pocket radio! It made a loud bang as it blew the case open. No fire or explosion. I was able to replace the battery and now ok. It just happened for no reason after about 5 years of being OK.
