Geez, even at nearly 60 yrs old myself, and having played a lifetime of blues, I got no time for the so called 'blues purists' and their closed minds. Blues IS a feelin. Young or old, new or old skool, we all got our own interpretation of it because it affects all of us DIFFERENTLY. That's one of the beauty's of the ART of playing music and being a musician - being able to express how YOU are. Not fall into some box or copy of someone or something else. (unless you play in a top 40's cover band, then I feel sorrow for your soul :) :) You keep being you, and I believe that's how it's always gonna be with you and your music journey anyway.
