Back in the days of the PS2, a Mad Max game was in development by Australian studio: Melbourne House. And it got canned for quite possibly, the dumbest of reasons.

Hey guys! So this is an extract from a video where I took at look at every Mad Max video game out there (including cancelled projects). Check out my channel if you're interested!

This had a horrific chilling effect, because at that time, Melbourne House/Beam Software were in the throes of being owned by Infogrames, had that Mad Max game been accepted and had Morrison NOT left that remark in said document, there could have been a chance that Melbourne House would still be in business, as they were closed down in 2010, a casualty of the fallout from multiple developers NOT getting another publisher after Infogrames/Atari S.A.'s financial collapse between 2004 to 2009.

Thatd be like pitching a Star Wars game to George Lucas and the first page is “why the Prequels ruined our childhood”. You dont insult the guy you wanna work with.

You really gotta wonder why that was even there in the first place.

THIS much of a reaction because George was protective of Mad Max 3?! Please, that's hardly a reason to cancel a whole GAME with a lot of promise! He really needs to get BEYOND Thunderdome...
