In Germany we have good shoemakers as well, but the Red Wing Iron Ranger is the most comfortable boot i have. I will "pimp" it with a midsole to make it more durable. Fortunately i have a good old school shoemaker who will do the job. Good channel. Greetings from Germany and sorry for my bad english. It's long time ago i have been in the USA 😅

Iron rangers were my first nicer boot... i bought them to get married in, i delivered my daughter while wearing them, and after 10 years, i dont wear them as much anymore, but they hold lots of memories.

I have four pairs of Iron Rangers with the Slate Muleskinners being my most recent ones. I feel reassured seeing you run these boots through the paces because as you note, they're not cheap, but I don't mind paying for quality materials and made in the USA craftsmanship. And for me, I just love the look of the Iron Ranger - it's still my favorite. Thanks for another great analysis.

I bought a pair about 18 months ago and they’re my first pair of so called quality boots. I’m certainly no expert on boots but I love my pair.

Weston, THANK YOU for always inserting the history of the shoe and boots. Also, thank you for always trying to be honest and up front on pros and cons of the footwear. I love the videos!

I’ve had my Iron Rangers for 10 years. Best boots ever! Quality, comfort, durability, looks!

I've had my iron rangers for 10 years now, in rotation with lots of other shoes and boots, and they're still beasts. Original nitrile cork sole is still solid, despite the heels getting pretty rounded. Beautiful patina, fit like a glove.

I bought these (in smooth, black leather) as my first pair of boots a few months ago. I was hesitant dropping this much on footwear, it was my first time paying more than probably $80 for anything I’d put on my feet and I was really skeptical it’d be worth it.

That said, they’ve been incredibly functional, comfortable, and good looking boots and I’ve not once regretted my purchase. I’m happy to see that a true professional also has such a positive opinion of them.

The original Iron Ranger video was what led me to this channel back around April 2020(I think). I was looking in to buying my first pair of nicer boots and Iron Rangers were on the top of my list so I turned to YouTube for reviews. Low and behold there was your video, which not only gave me the confidence to pull the trigger on buying the pair, but it gave me an addiction to your videos that I still haven't shaken all this time later!

Awesome to see they're still worth it, and awesome to have watched your channel grow over the years.

I have taken both pairs of iron rangers that I own and have had them custom bottomed at Wyatt and Sons. A double midsole with a Vibram Cork bottom and a single mid sole with a Dr Sole Half sole both are substantial improvements in comfort and looks. Love them both ! Great boots. My IR wingtips are my favorites.

Iron rangers are not cheap here in Switzerland, we pay more than in the US, but it was worth for me the price. Your videos guided me in that buy decision and I never regretted it.

I absolutely love my Iron Rangers, I've been wearing this pair pushing 1 year and they have broken in so nicely and I continue to love them more and more over time. Of course they were very uncomfortable the first couple weeks but after the break in time they become glove like and it's a boot I feel proud to wear, I can dress the up or down which is another plus

I'd been planning on getting a pair of African Rangers ever since they were first announced once one of my current pairs of boots wore out. Seeing this extra special version made me decide to get them now. It's not like they will go bad if I get them earlier than expected ;-)
Thanks for introducing me to the brand Rose Anvil, and thanks Jim Green for being a product I can feel good about buying

I have 2 Grant Stones, 3 Red Wings, 3 Allen Edmonds, Tecovas and two Thursday’s, I can say that my Iron Rangers are my favorites. Amazing boots. Worth every nickel.

I purchased my first pair of iron rangers about two weeks ago. They were probably twice as much as I’ve ever spent on boots but in all honesty they really feel worth it. I would strongly recommend going to a shop and trying them on rather than just buying on line. The guys in Red Wing London were quite happy for me to try lots of boots to find the perfect fit. The ones purchased feel like they were custom made. If you can appreciate well made classic design these are right up your street.

People complain about Iron Ranger comfort, etc. My guess is those fellas have too many boots. Buy the Iron Rangers, (get the right size), WEAR THEM EVERY DAY, break them in, and they just get better and better as the footbed forms. I'm 66 and can work in my concrete floor shop all day in my newer Iron Rangers all day with no issues. This my 3rd pair, and I get 10 years a 2 resoles before I need new boots. I own hunting and hiking boots, but the Rangers are on my feet 6 days a week the rest of the year. Badass boots.

This channel is beyond informative. No brand can hide lower quality components and corners cut craftsmanship with a simple bandsaw laying around.

I've had my pair of redwings for over 3 years and they're holding up really well . I own Nick's and White's now but I still use my redwings quite often ( especially when I don't feel like lugging all the weight of those pnw boots around) . Love my iron rangers.

I got the Blacksmiths in CRT and I’m still impressed of how well built they feel. I think they’re worth it, but they were a very conscious and informed decision.
