An Elephant Followed Me Home - Nursery Rhyme

We went to the zoo the other day
And saw penguins, koalas and monkeys play
We got up close and said 'hello'
The koala ate some leaves and slept in the sun
While we took photos and had some fun
We started home and heard a sound
And felt footsteps vibrate through the ground!
What could it be, I said aloud?
Then I saw his trunk so tall and proud
Away we went with Mr Elephant
Up roads, down hills and round-abouts
He followed us home and now he lives in our yard
Where he waters our garden with his great big snout!
