I met Van Damme and asked him to do what any fan would...kick me JCVD style 😛 Please note that this is a joke/for fun and Van Damme would never actually harm a woman. Thanks to my friend Michael for taking me to this event, very inspiring!

This man was one of my heroes as a kid growing up in the 80's, along with Stallone and Schwarzenegger. He had a phenomenal physique, great martial arts skills, and loads of charisma. It was a great time to grow up.

As a kid I was AMAZED by his skills...always wanted to be like him!!! (He made me loving SPORTS!)
I was NEVER a "fighter" in first place...I was...and I AM, just a "normal guy"! :)

Van Damme is also NOT the "hero" you´ll maybe see in ALL his movies!!!
But knowing his past, (and all his "strugglings" in REAL LIFE), he is MUCH MORE than that!!!

In MY opinion....J.C.V.D. is a REAL hero!!! Alone, because he managed it to keep his family together... after a "VERY DIFFICULT time", for them all!!!
And he is also one of the very, very rare persons in the whole "show-business", not being snooty at all!!!

My respect goes also to his wife Gladys...(and also to his children)!
It was THEM in the end, giving him the "shore", he probably always needed!

But anyway...
...HE is the reason, why I´d rather lift some weights now... than waisting my time on doing drugs, or something like that!

All I want to say is just: "THANK YOU"!!!

I DON´T belive in "role-models", but HE is the one I look up to!!! (For many reasons!)
