Sylenth sounds great and I might pick it up, however I already have Retro Machines MkII and the full Arturia Analog collection, which is really really awesome.

Since I posted my comment a month ago I've figured out how to get that French house bass sound by layering a sub bass with a funk-style mid bass and throwing some FX on top. Also helps to pan the bass wide.

Thanks for the tip about Sylenth, I'm gonna check the demo.

mate, slynth1 is a vst, it will run on anything. go spend a couple of bucks :) it will be worth it trust me
