Black Myth Wukong Yellowbrow Boss Fight & Location

Black Myth Wukong All Boss Fights Playlist:

Black Myth Wukong Boss Guide:

Location: New Thunderclap Temple - Mahavira Hall: Directly after this shrine this will be the chapter's endboss, can't miss it.

Difficulty: 6/10 (at Level 50+ if you did all bosses so far, harder if you rushed the game and are underleveled)

Strategy: Yellowbrow is the Chapter 3 endboss. This is unlike any previous encounter, the fight consists of 3 separate bosses. There are no shrines between the fights, and the third fight is especially challenging. Be sure to load up on as many medicines as you can craft. Ideally: Enhanced Tiger Subduing Pellets (if you don't have them you can use regular Tiger Subduing Pellets), Longevity Decotion, Evil Repelling Medicament. Keep enough medicine for the third boss encounter. Make sure you crafted any available armor/weapon upgrades to go into the fight as strong as possible. Revisit the Shen Money from Chapter 1 to upgrade your Gourd, revisit the Xu Dog from Chapter 2 to exchange Mind Cores for stat upgrades, put them all into Defense upgrades. Also buy the passive defense skills from skill tree to improve survivability. Recommended spells: Immobilize + A Pluck of Many + Red Tides transformation (for Alteration you can use Cloud Step or Rock Solid whichever you prefer).

Reward: 1x Cosmo Radiance (weapon material), 3x Cold Iron Leaves, 2x Fine Gold Threat (armor material), 1x Gold Tree Core (weapon material), 2x Refined Iron Sand, 1x Mind Core

The undodgeable cutscenes that take half your health are the real villain in this fight

An important tips:
Using Immobilze after phase one or using a transformation in the wrong part of the fight will trigger him going in gold mode. Realize this made him considerable easier.

9:40 I can’t believe they make it in the game. This whole place is build based on a very traditional Chinese carving artwork. It is like a stone wall engraved gods and buddha, delicate!

Well done bro.
The first 2 phases were easy enough for me but his 3rd and final phase was hella difficult.

have to max out the spell binder spell you get from the secret quest and you will deal insane damage to him. You can also use charged heavy attacks a few times to break his gold stance. It is so much easier than using this method

Bro everytime I use my clones he switches to gold and turns them to attack me.

Tip for everyone struggling with gold mode.
you have to knock him out of it using smash stance. Smack him with a level 3 heavy and it'll knock him out of it.
level 1's and 2's work too but take several hits.

That boss fight is not fair i don’t like how he turn gold you can’t touch him like it’s irritating once he hits you, your health bar is low as freak this boss in my opinion is not fair to anyone it’s a mistake with this boss i don’t like other boss fights yes loved it be this one. Fair

Absolute game changer is unlocking the sprinting while charging and hit him twice in gold stance and wail away

No idea what triggers the gold effect, but literally as soon as I smash out a combo on him he turns to gold. Then I waste my gourd charges keeping health up while breaking him out of it. I suck at these kinds of games, but I am enjoying it so far… despite the absurdity of this boss lol I had to take a break. He’s just too… ugh. Lots of frustrating moments for me so far, but this is the number 1 PITA boss that wasn’t optional. And I thought Yin Tiger was annoying (but soooo worth the trouble).

It only took two attempts but I think I could’ve dropped him in one attempt if that electric aoe didn’t kill me

I’m on the second phase of the fight but seeing where ppl are saying to try using spellbinder, but I don’t have it equipped. I’m nervous to leave and equip it cuz I’m worried it’ll make me start from the beginning again. Does anyone know if this is the case or will it let me continue from phase 2.

I think this was a good boss. Sure, it was very slow and telegraphed but I think at the same time every attack had weight behind it. Also during the 2nd form he gained tons of different electricity based attacks and could gain hyper armor.

They really just clicked copy paste on Elden Ring and thought nobody would notice

Of course there's Elden Ring fanboys in the comments crying about the boss. This game actually requires skill. You can't cheese the game through OP builds or summons. Also stop trying to play the game like a Soulslike, dodging in Wukong requires actual timing and you have to understand how to work the varied combos and even combine them when using different stances. Learn how to perfect dodge too and learn how to trigger the see through enemy mechanic too, that grants you physical immunity when you perform a varied combo at the right time just before an enemy hits.

If this game is too hard for you, never play Ninja Gaiden games. They'd utterly destroy you lol.
