Steam Deck plugins are INSANE

Today we look at some great plugins I have been using to make games look nicer on the Deck and also to personalise your home menu UI

A cool plugin would be a deck optimum settings panel, users could upvote the best settings to come to a consensus - you could pull it up in game and automatically apply the best settings for that specific game.

My original Deck’s screen went completely dead after about two months, literally only used a handful of times and not at all second month. Contacted Steam, went through a lot of troubleshooting.
Eventually I had to send my Deck back for replacement, which only took one week to receive a new one. I loved the whole process and quick responding.

I ran into a small issue while doing this and thought I would share in case it happens to anyone else. After entering the code when the terminal asks for a password, mine was not letting me set a new password from there. I would put “passwd” in and it would just say “sorry, try again”. I actually ended up closing the terminal and trying the passwd command on its own in a fresh terminal and that worked. So then I had my password set already and I was able to just put that one in when prompted. It was a weird little bug of some sort, so I thought I’d put that out there in case anyone else comes across the same issue!

The waiting list for a steam deck is only about 3 weeks now which is awesome for new people, have you done anything with custom boot animations? Seen a few on reddit

Been using the VibrantDeck for a while now and it's awesome. Valve needs to put this into the software. Also, if you adjust the gamma for red, green, blue you can get the colors looking much better or more to your liking. 👍🏽

I've only had my Deck for a few days now. It's taking me quite a while to get it set up with emulators, different game shops (like Epic) and different tweaks...but I feel like once everything is set up and I have it the way I like it, it's going to become the coolest gaming device I've ever owned.
