TABC's TRACE Source Investigation PSA

This short pubic service announcement serves to promote TABC’s source investigation initiative TRACE and how this operation can impact local communities.

TRACE is a law enforcement operation that investigates the source of DWIs and other alcohol-related emergencies resulting in serious bodily injury and/or death.

TRACE stands for Target Responsibility for Alcohol Connected Emergencies.

Contact TABC for assistance when investigating a TRACE investigation, which involves a minor or someone suspected of being sold or served at a TABC-licensed location.

Any Texas Emergency Responder or Law Enforcement personnel may use the number to contact TABC regardless of time and location. Calls will be dispatched to TABC Law Enforcement personnel located throughout Texas and will then determine where the alcoholic beverages were acquired, purchased, or served.
