The contrast between the people singing the part "No one mourns the wicked!" in such a loud manner while Glinda looks like she is silently grieving the loss of her friend was so beautiful to me. This scene was so subtle on the details I love it.

I watched this a few days ago and I don’t think there has been a single movie that got me to cry faster than wicked did. I started crying seeing Arianna’s performance in this scene. It looks like she’s about to cry when she torched the statue

This scene (and actually, this film) hits SO MUCH harder in cinemas with all the giant and many subwoofers and speakers. The fire catching sound right after the torch toss had so much oomph to it it made the seats shake literally when viewed in Dolby Cinema. It is one hell of an experience!

I would rewatch it in Dolby Cinemas again once in a while just to get the chills, if they ever decided to rerun the show.

Starting with this scene, this song, and then watching the movie and then listening to the song again, everything glinda sings sounds so much more sad. I noticed from the beginning that it looked like she didnt really want to burn the statue but i didnt know how deep the emotion really was. ❤
