TWO ACTIVE SNATCHERS ARRESTED BY THE JOINT TEAM OF NARCOTICS & PP BHATI MINES, PS MAIDAN GARHI, SOUTH DISTRICT.

INTRODUCTION: -

The staff of Narcotics Squad & PP Bhati Mines, PS Maidan Garhi, South District has done commendable work by arresting 02 active snatchers namely Vikas @ Vicky and Rahul Yadav in case FIR No. 562/23, date 22/10/23 u/s 356/379/34 IPC, PS Malviya Nagar. Upon their instance, 01 gold chain snatched in the above said case and 01 motorcycle used in crime were recovered.

BRIEFING OF STAFF DEPLOYED ON PREVENTIVE DUTIES: -

To curb street crime, the teams of South District was continuously putting efforts and mounting traps at strategic locations to nab robbers/snatchers. The modus operandi used by the criminals was briefed to the staff for prevention and detection in the area. Accordingly, the staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence.

TEAM AND OPERATION: -

A joint team comprising of SI Lalit Jakhar (I/c PP Bhati Mines), ASI Parkash, HC Jitesh, HC Manjeet, HC Shri Ram, HC Dharmendra, HC Kuldeep and Ct. Dinesh led by Insp. Manish Chaudhary (I/c Narcotics Squad) & SHO PS Maidan Garhi under overall supervision of ACP Mehrauli was formed to nab the culprits involved in previous cases.
The above said team gathered the information about the incidents happened during last few days and also checked the CCTV footage of the incidents. The team checked more than 70 CCTV footages of the nearby cameras to identify the route adopted by the accused persons. Entry and exit route adopted by the accused were identified. Some important and result oriented clues were collected through the exercise of CCTV footage checking as well as through secret informers. They also activated their informers.
Sincere efforts of the team bore fruits when on 26.10.23 two boys were identified with the help of CCTV footages. Through Surveillance and technical analysis there location was zeroed down and a raid was conducted and two accused were apprehended. Later on, they were identified as Vikas @ Vicky and Rahul Yadav. Upon their instance, 01 motorcycle used in crime and 01 snatched gold chain were recovered. On enquiry, the gold chain was found to be snatched in case FIR No. 562/23, Date 22/10/23, U/s 356/379/34 IPC, PS Malviya Nagar. The accused were arrested and the recovered case property was seized.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED: -

1.Vikas @ Vicky S/o Vijender Lal R/o Sangam Vihar, New Delhi, age - 25 Years
2.Rahul Yadav S/o Raju yadav R/o Village- Devali, New Delhi, age - 27 years.

RECOVERY: -

1.01 snatched gold chain.
2.01 motorcycle used in crime.


The staff involved in good work is suitably rewarded.
