Lol, despite all the "cons" you mentioned about the Kelly, I'm sure many of us including myself still love the classic style and yeah, a back pocket would be so handy. The sellier gives a more formal classic look while the roturne style is more casual. 😬😅 Not the most useful or easy to use bags and so why are we paying the hefty price for it? 🤔

The top 3 cons of the Kelly for me are its price, availability and opening. However, I would still gladly get a Kelly if I have the money and opportunity to buy one.

I love my Kelly but I wish it had a back pocket too, and I do admit it's not very convenient to get in and out of. I find the LV Capucines more convenient to use--I guess it's been designed for more modern women. The Kelly was iconically used by Grace Kelly, but her daughter in law, Charlene, the present Princess of Monaco, wears the Capucines. I think that symbolizes a change in generation and modernization. But I have enjoyed travelling to Monaco and loved visiting the places related to Grace Kelly, so the Kelly has a special meaning for me. I think it looks elegant and lady-like like none other. Especially the sellier type.

You are right about the back pocket and that is the great feature of the Her bag which is the casual sister of the Kelly! And also the strap length, they could use the same system they have for the Kelly belt…no hardware involved… thanks for your videos ;-))

Hi Isabelle. As I was watching you mentioning the strap on the Kelly. A Kelly belt came to my mind. 😂 I think it wound be a great concept to use the Kelly belt as a strap for longer or shorter lengths versus having a buckle to adjust the strap. That way is kind of hidden and won’t ruin the aesthetic of the look.

This was good. I love the Kelly. True it’s a very formal, mature bag but I am a grown up so that’s ok. With the capacity I think you needed to qualify that the 25 doesn’t hold much. That’s not true for all of them. I looked at a 32 once and it holds heaps. All my essentials, which is a lot, with plenty of room to spare.
