Joan Trumpauer Mulholland's role in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s is often understated, but her actions during this time as one of the Freedom Riders and Woolworth's Sit-In participants were integral in leading Black Americans towards the path to freedom. We sat down with Joan to talk a little about her role in movement, and learned a lot about this ordinary hero.
