We need stealth, but the Navy should not over it. Include the Rolls Royce MT30, along with the Japanese Unicorn system, and refine the design and conceal weaponry as much as possible. DO NOT OVERDO IT. The Pakistani Navy will have a lot of AIP submarines by 2030, so we need to invest in Anti-Submarine. Also, Indian ships lack Anti-Air Defense. We need more interceptor missiles and anti-drone. So invest in these rather than overdoing stealth.

Technically 13500 ton warships are not called destroyers, it called cruisers. Anyway we should build our neavy bigger than Russia at least by the end of 2040, with 5 carrier, 30 Destroyer, 40 Frigates and 30 submarines ( 12 Nuclear attack + Balestic and 12 Disel AIP)

No need for such extravaganza. An improved and stretched P15B will do, 10k ton displacement, with 127/64 LW main gun, 16 Brahmos, 32 LRLACM, 32 MRSAM, 64 VLSRSAM. Higher rated powerplant will be required to run all 4 AESA panels and other sensors & EW on full power. But eventually we would need 15k-20k Cruisers to act as the sword arm of every CBG.

We definitely will need a small no. of Zumwalt type ships to do special missions because the way china is building its navy we can't match in its tonnage nor in numbers, only thing we can do is to ensure our ships are top of the line and will hold its ground. With a Zumwalt type ship our navy will have that surprise element to sneak in undetected and easily escape after an attack.

I hope that atleast they improve and introduce a new hull like the french or japanese one. Dont need the zumwalt type stealth, but i think our destroyer has much more chance to improve stealth, looks wise compared to chinese or european ones. I hope they try that atleast.

I believe it's better to acquire multiple ships rather than increase the size of individual ones. If we want to compete with China, we need a larger number of ships equipped with advanced stealth technology. This will allow our ships to track targets first and gain the advantage when launching missiles.

Ideally when the last ship of the class is being readied for Commissioning, the lead ship of the next class should already be Laid Down or Steel cutting should be done atleast.
This has created a vaccum gap. Considering how many ships the Navy requires, construction should not halt at all whether it's Surface Combatant or Sub surface platforms.
Even the 2nd Vikrant aircraft carrier is seeing no movement when actually the term INS Vishal which now seems like a distant dream was actually conceptualized since 2010. China is supplying to Pak 8 Aip diesel submarines even here India has lagged and this is Navy the supposedly most efficient of the 3 services IAF and the Army lag far behind.
China takes less time in construction than what India takes in mere designing.
