Also works if your speaker is disabled.
When iphone is locked swipe up to the widget menu, turn off the background sound icon. Also check in audio / visual settings that noise cancelling and all other settings are off.
Good luck you shouldn't have to buy a new phone. Happened to me after ios 14.8 update
