"A bipartisan forum in a small Latah County community took a turn when Republican Senate incumbent Dan Foreman stormed out of the event, following a racist outburst directed at a Native American candidate.

On Tuesday, local Democrat and Republican representatives organized a “Meet your candidates” forum in the northern Idaho town of Kendrick. Three contenders from each party vying for District 6 legislative seats - one senate and two house representatives positions - answered questions submitted by audience members."

Thank you so much for this video. I am Nimiipuu (Nez Perce), and was so outraged. This poor, poor representation of the human race should go to Europe, but he would really fit in with the IDF in Israel. He is the kind of person who is so ignorant, he thinks he can boss women around. Nimiipuu women had more rights than white women until they made us citizens in 1924. You guys made my year reporting this creep nationally and about Idaho whom everyone believes are all uneducated Republicans. We have 5 tribes. Our aboriginal territory covered parts of Washington, Idaho and Oregon, and we have treaty rights to hunt buffalo in territories further east. We were famous for our horses, the Appalosa, which the US Army was ordered to kill them. Forman is a carpet bagger, men like him are on the wrong side of history and he is of no consequence.

Talk about having "foot-in-mouth" disease.
Not only did Foreman tell a *Native American* to go back to her homeland, but also did it while they were discussing the subject of discrimination.

That is hilarious. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I'm from Idaho, and Idaho is expensive and racist. It has gotten better, but it's still has a huge long way to go. Idaho is a rich peoples country now. It's ridiculous how people don't get it. What is deeply ashamed and sad is how much Biden has done for Idaho than any president I've seen in my life, and they will never vote for Biden. Why? idk... lead and chemical issues with the water idk.

I live in Idaho. I heard this story and ran to check my ballot. I was so upset I couldn’t vote for her. Different district. Hope she beats him and beats him bad.

As someone born and raised in Latah (Lay-tah) county, I am tickled with this young woman’s response. I have seen my great state go from a happy place where everyone was welcome to a place where white supremacy and hate rules. The Nez Perce ( Nimipuu) are a great bunch of people. We used to play their basketball team in High School ( they generally beat us), we called them the FBI (freaking big Indians). They were nice people and amazing athletes. Make Idaho like it used to be.

Hey guys he was just helpfully trying to prove her point. "Go back to where you came from" is one of the most racist, discriminatory things you can say. So, she was right all along.

How typical of a Republican to say something this atrocious and then deny any wrongdoing. I am just surprised!

The Nez Perce people famously helped Lewis and Clark. They fed forty drop in guests, provided horses and showed them the way west. How about a little gratitude.

"Idaho." Yup. That's a 100% Euro-American name.

I thought the Nez Pierce were extinct. Nice to hear they are not.

Sounds just like how Americans treated my parents when they arrived in the US after my Hmong people helped save the lives of many Americans during the Vietnam War. The Americans recruited Hmong villages to save the lives of American soldiers whose aircraft was shot down into the jungles of Loas and fight back against The Communist who crossed over to Loas. They taught 10 year olds how to shoot the enemy and took over most of our villages (Long Cheng) as their secret base in Loas, which was supposed to be a neutral Country. My Dad had been fighting the war for the US since he was 13. This was known as The Secret War in American history. If it wasn’t for Jerry Daniel, the CIA who stayed behind to ensure that every Hmong family who fought for him, made it to the US. The Communist would have killed all of them. Most of the Hmong families who didn’t make it to the US were killed, or put in refugee camps for years in Thailand. It was a genocide of my people. The Communist killed them because they felt we betrayed them, and the US didn’t want to take in any more of us. When my parents made it here around 1978, they had to be sponsored by a Christian church, who was to teach them the Christian way and how they must live and behave in the US. My parents held back from being Atheist and practicing our Hmong traditions until I was a teenager, so I didn’t learn about my culture until I was much older in life. It’s amazing how very little people know this little piece of American history. But one person who does know this is Tim Waltz, who has been apart of many Hmong celebrations in Minnesota. I say all of this to say the entitlement that most white Americans have is beyond me, they teach BS in their schools and continue the cycle of ignorance. I have little hope that things will change, but will do all I can to make a difference.
