This channel is stunning. How do you not have a million subs? You already fixed my mouth clicks problem (thanks for that) and I have a feeling you're about to fix my booth in this video.

I love the "Fox in Socks" idea for a warm-up! I just bought in on Kindle, so I can read it off my screen (in Kindle cloud reader) every time I'm getting ready to record. This will be my new favorite part of the routine.

The tip about ice cubes worked incredibly well I have noticed a lot less mouth noise and the ice cubes helps so much plus when I record my mouth is minty fresh

One thing about the earbuds in the cans trick - which I've been doing for years - is to use buds with the best sounding microphone, because if the client is directing you over the phone, that's how they'll be hearing you first. And first impressions count. I've got a bunch of different inexpensive pairs but always test them with the phone's voice memo app to see which ones sound the clearest on calls; it won't give the client a positive vibe if you sound muffled over the phone. By the way the apple wired earbuds do seem to have the best mic, but I found the mic quality of the cheapest JBL's is very close. Strangely, my more expensive JBL's had a more muffled mic.

Oh wow! I didn't know you voiced Domo! I had forgotten about that show somehow until you brought the doll up to the camera and a wave of memories came flooding back lol. Very cool and delightful surprise

Your Videos are funny and entertaining and the information is awesome! Thank You! I have a question about using a separate recorder for VO work? I heard of another VO recommending this for a backup in case the computer fails or glitches. He referred to it as the "Belts and Braces technique" So he will go from his mic to solid state recorder then an interface then a computer. He even recommended the Maranze pmd661MkII or the Pdm 660( not available anymore but can still find used). Please let me know your thoughts on this. also, what other brands and models would you recommend for a solid-state recorder. Thanks

Nerdy off-topic query — a Shure KSM 32? Just curious. Sounds good on you!

@Voiceover Village
If I am working on something could I use a pen/stage name, or do I have to use my legal name?
