Lubegard 96030 Kool-It Evaporator and Heater Foam Cleaner
by Lubegard

Eliminates even the foulest of odors
Leaves a clean, fresh scent that lasts up to six months
Reduces allergens and contaminates
No equipment or drilling required

Did you know that the air quality inside a vehicle can be up to SIX times worse than outside? Contaminated air conditioning and heater evaporator/cores can cause foul smelling, health threatening mold and mildew deposits. Use KOOL-IT super foaming action to remove and neutralize the contaminates that live in air conditioning and heater systems of modern cars and trucks. KOOL-IT is released into the HVAC system and its super foaming action flushes out and neutralize unwanted contaminants.

One of the Most Resounding Complaints that Owner's have Today About Their Vehicle is Air Quality
It's especially noticeable with vehicles in warmer climates, yet even newer vehicles in mild climates develop that tell-tale odor of mold and mildew trapped deep inside the evaporator/heater system. Contaminants such as mold, mildew and other bacteria are naturally occurring and present in the air. As researchers have discovered, one of the best places for these natural contaminants to live and breed is right in our vehicles! Contaminated air conditioning and heater evaporator/cores can cause foul smelling, health threating mold and mildew deposits. Three key elimates for intensification of these living contaminants are the presence of moisture, the lack of sunlight, and a warm enough environment to reproduce and live. Condensation is rampant in vehicle evaporator systems.

Exposure to Dirty, Moldy Air Systems Can Lead to:
Nasal and Sinus Congestion Causing Headaches
Itchy, Red, Watery Eyes
Respiratory Problems
Throat Irritation and Cough
Skin Irritation and Rashes

I carefully drilled a little hole in the box that has the bleeder hose on the bottom just deep enough the thickness of the plastic so not to damage anything inside . Put the little hose in it and sprayed the foam cleaner worked great !! After I just put a bit of gasket sealer to cover the little hole so next just peel it off to put more foam !

Worked great for my 2005 Ram 2500...even seemed to act as a lubricant for the blend doors... whole system works better and no mold or mildew now!

One of the reasons this problem occurs is because the drain gets partly clogged. By going up through the drain you can break loose some of that slim and gunk that is causing the problem.

Better way is too take out your glove box remove blower fan spray right there the evaporator should be right by the fan reinstall fan turn on ac the fan should blow the foam onto the coil

Do not use this product. The chemical smell was worse than the mildew smell. I could not even use the AC without the windows down. Not sure how long this cancerous chemical smell will last, but I have to keep the AC running on high and windows down while I'm driving until its all gone.

You did not actually clean the evaporator, only the air ducts.

DONT do through the inside vent - if you are not sure if the tube gets down to the coil. I accidentally shoot the chemical into my eye because the tube runs from this vent to the other vent. I was wearing safety glasses, but thought it was ok to shoot it away into the vent so I removed my glasses. The chemicals came straight into my eye.

A breath of fresh air is a good thing! Odor can also be caused by leaves and dirt collected under the hood on AC intake vent for outside air, usually near bottom of windshield. Cheers

Typically, The AC Evaporator located at the bottom of the AC-box. Next to the drain hose at the floor of the car.

Used it before just put it in. The other way from a pit. Smells great running to flush out. Yeah keep getting smell right but change if seasons. Washes pollen with out removing your whole ac system. Tough to find thanks Auto Barn!

Wouldn't you put it on the side that the air is coming in so that it works through? That means you would have to take the filter out and spray it into the outside vents or if you can spray it on the coils with the filter out if you can see them.

This is not an approved method from lube gard. You either go from the ac drain or remove cabin air filter and spray through there. If you are looking to just clean the vents you can sprat lysol this will make it smell nice
