Even today, women in Europe earn, on average, 12.7% less per hour than men.

This means that for every €1 a man earns, a woman makes just €0.87.

But there’s good news. Thanks to our efforts, the European Union now has clear and strong rules on pay transparency - a vital step in the fight against gender pay discrimination.

Now it’s up to European countries to step up, implement these rules, and deliver on the promise of equal pay for equal work.
