Howard and Joe spoke of how they’re trying to erase history. I recently played Howard and Anita’s duet “When Will It Be”. The lyrics of that song are perfect for all that is going on in the world right now. ❤ 🎤 🎵 🎶

Thanks for this. Howard Hewett has been one of my favorite Men of Soul from the moment I heard the "Big Fun" album back in the day. Great stories and reveals. Excellent interview. I will be following up on Social Media platforms. I always imagined a Quincy Jones record featuring Howard and Jeff Osborne on a record (like "Secret Garden") and nice to hear they are real life buds. Didn't know about the Roberta Flack or the Prince songs with H.H. I'll have to hunt and find those. Hopefully, I can catch "Shalamar" in August. (Tactful and tasteful way of avoiding the Jody Watley stance and relationship).

Been a Shalamar fan since the Big Fun album. They came through Pittsburgh a lot. Met the 2nd iteration of the group when they played the Holiday House. I have a friend who had a show on local cable access that interviewed most of the acts out there in the late 70s thru late 80s. I assisted him on many of the interviews.

Wow, 😮 when Howard was talking about conquering LA while looking at the lights of the city on Sunset Blvd, which he in fact definitely did just that, I'm laughing my butt off when, as he said it, they drove back over to the hood to that roomate "oompa loompa", his cousin's girlfriends roommate. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The host was looking so serious because I don't think the host Joe Kelly got that humor. But I think that was hilarious 🤣🤣 🤣🤣

They didn't play in Connecticut, they played in Springfield, Massachusetts. Whispers, Lakeside, Shalimar and Dynasty.. At the time Hartford's coliseum had collapsed.

Mr. Howard Hewett, you have been my inspiration and hope for heavenly partnering/coupling throughout life and into marriage. Eventually, I found my equal....and received more than what was bargained for. 😁
