Thank you for posting this today! My son and I have both started our new jobs at the same hospital this last week! We are super excited but nervous. This will be his first big boy nursing job, but I have been an LVN for 7 yrs (however this is my first big girl RN job so...yeah). Any tips for us as we will be working stepdown (Me) ICU (Him) departments will be greatly appreciated from any experienced folks!

Biggest tip: find a knowledable nurse who you can trust to ask questions who won't gossip about you to others when you don't know what to do. Biggest reason for burn out is lack of respect from other health professionals ie bullying. Good luck out there guys and gals. 😁😉
