I ordered this car with every single option including the SRT package. Apparently I don’t know what I’m doing and have been driving my car wrong for the past 18 months. Glad I came across your vid. Thanks! 14:07

I use sport mode only when I have to get on the interstate. It’s not overly aggressive and it’s just right for when you have to get in and out of traffic. I use eco in the city and I get around 21 miles to the gallon which is really big for this type of car.

I also leave Auto on Eco and my Custom is Track but I put Street for Traction and Sport for Steering. Just double click the button when I wanna get on it.

Sport will allow you on the Highway to shift into 8th gear but still be really only goes to 7....you will save more gas in sport....track will keep your active exhaust open all the time...All this is the case in my 2016 scat with the tazer

If you want the most traction in custom mode switch it from track to street, Reason being the car isnt as stiff and when you hit it the car will squat instead of being stiff as a board

“Power of the transmission?” What do you mean by that? The different modes affect shift speeds, etc., not power which is produced/controlled by the engine. I would think that having the suspension in track would not allow weight to transfer as well as opposed to a softer setting when drag racing. When I’m on a road course I set everything to track and then turn all of the nannies off. As to why anyone would want to use sport mode; it’s a good compromise between street/track on a daily driven car. Steering is lighter with some feedback, transmission doesn’t try to slam you into oblivion when it shifts, doesn’t stay in the lower gears as long, suspension gives a little, and you still get a good exhaust note.

You do know that you can be in track mode with the full traction on all you gotta do is be in track mode and press the traction button in the center console until the light turns off in the dash

Sport mode is prob the best mode to have your car in unless your stuck in traffic or on a light to light basis. U get that power and comfy suspension.

You should put the suspension on soft in custom mode it helps with launching the car I’ve noticed I keep everything else in track

Not sure if yours does this I have a 2021 scat pack charger. In eco mode mine starts of in 2nd gear every time. Unless you put the shifter in the manual setting. In eco mode starting in first mine will still spin the tires. I would say this is why you are not spinning when in eco mode.

The vehicle has timers in the performance pages were collection of scientific data on acceleration is possible to remove the “seat of your pants” dyno. And the drive mode can be manipulated in the custom setup of each drive mode💪🏻🇺🇸

Sport mode is for showing off Drifting, Donuts track is for the track, Limited slip no full posi. Track will try to keep itself straight and that shifting sounds like and explosions

Sport mode will not allow cylinder deactivation which means all 8 will be used if I have it right. I drive around town in sport because I'm paranoid about cylinder deactivation problems.

Have to be 💯with you. I watch your videos all the time and not throwing any shade, but when you go through all the modes on the car, make sure they are officially locked in. At 9:50 you activated Track mode, but didn't look at your screen. You were still in sport mode because your screen was telling you "track mode currently unavailable". I don't know if anyone else caught it, but I did. It wasn't until you slowed down from the pull the Track mode was activated. You can also turn your traction back on while in track mode, and invest in some 315 or 335 tires for wider grip. I have a Widebody and have minimal to no spin when launching (2000-2600 rpms). Good video though.

I save a ton of gas in sport, just get to a coast then ease off the gas and on the highway I get like 28-30 mpg. And for roll races I fine sport to be better as well cause Track doesn’t hit 8th gear. I don’t downshift with the paddles I use the shifter then slap it back to auto and those are my best rolls hands down

I would like to ask, if I want to travel across states, should I use the ECO mode to save fuel?
