Jazz fan here... I was curious to hear MN fans take on Gobert so far, so take on him is interesting. It has been a very frustrating couple years to see the jazz blow up in the playoffs... But my take is that it was not Gobert's fault. Our perimeter defense the last couple year was simply awful. We had two guards that were 6'0 and undersized, which is very difficult to match up in the first place, and when you make defensive errors like lazy closeouts over and over again, and forced Rudy to leave his man and help out, leaving his corner three position open on a 5-out offense... I think with this line up, you will end up loving Rudy when they get accustomed to playing together. And there is a lot of untapped potential there. He could easily have scored another 6-10 points more per game with the jazz if Mitchell would have looked for him more. And watch out if he masters a post-up move or two, which the Jazz failed to help him with! With the size and capability of your guards and team, this should be a very interesting team for the Timberwolves. I think as long as you don't force Gobert to help on a 5-out offense with bad perimeter defense, and you learn how to use him on the lob passes, I think the Timberwolves will be a force to watch. Judd’s conscious or unconscious bias between KAT and Ant is ridiculous. They could both make the same quote with the same intentions but when Ant says it it’s “self improvement” and when KAT says it it’s insincere BS. Basically “I don’t like KATs on court whining so his whole persona means I can’t respect his soundbytes”. It’s ridiculous. Also, the reason KAT whines and moans is cos he wants to win. No other reason. Could he manage his emotions better? Absolutely. The fact that he doesn’t though is because he cares. Not because he doesn’t care and isn’t focused on winning

Having rudy on the team is so massive. Hes averaging 18 rebounds a night so far which is wild & probably would be 20 if he played in the 4th quarter

Credit to finch for finally making adjustments and going with what works (small line up). But does he just go out for a smoke break during halftime? Wtf is up with our 3rd quarter adjustments???

The wide open shot will figure itself out as they get used to playing together & the new defense system with rudy on the court. They are just slow on rotations right now. It's gotten better every game so not to worried

Judd and Mackey trying to have their cake and eat it too. Idc if ant is 21 or 31, when he plays terrible, he deserves to be criticized just like kat. Especially if expectations for him AND the team is to be great. When ant complains its ok because he's only 21 so that's all that matters I guess. Newsflash, every star player complains!!

He's a terrible player, Play street ball game, inconsistent and play horrible on the ball cause he doesn't move the ball, that's why he never gonna be on Morant level cause Morant knows how to play as a team, Edwards just play a mediocre one on one game

Ant is approaching superstardom, but it will still take a little more time. Gobert is flat-out the best player on this team. You don't realize just what a monster he is defensively until he's on your team and you watch him for the whole game. Whenever Gobert is out, Ant needs to be on the floor with the small-ball lineup that includes Jaylen Nowell and Taurean Prince. honestly don't know at this point. He's an ancillary concern at this point.

Towns, needs to grow up. If he would button his lip he probably would get more foul shots. His bellyaching is very tiring.
