Here’s my big theory.
Part 1
Diago has a plan to get the mask fixed. He needs gold to repair the mask, so he bribed Fletcher Kane in giving himself gold for a mask of absolute power in return for Fletcher. Hope, Jones, Kendo, Midas, and Jade know about Diagos conversations with Fletcher Kane and are trying to figure out what is going on.
Part 2.
Diago needs to find out what this dark spirit is, so he is going to build a portal with Fletcher Kane out of the gold and start some sort of ritual. Diago is going to use the mask to enter the portal, but before he enters, an explosion happens.
Part 3
Fletcher Kane wants full control over the gold on the island. He teams up with Diago for a promise that he would get a mask of absolute power.
Part 4
In the live event, how ever, Fletcher Kane will be back stabbed by Diago. Diago most likely will eliminate Kane in the live event to get the mask back. He will use it but Hope and the rest of the team will try to stop him.
Part 5
After the explosion, the dark presence that is inside that portal will be released to the island. The dark presence is most likely Emperor Palpatine. He will laugh and the Death Star will come out of the portal, leading us into season three.
