Interesting back story on this song. "Chiquitita" means "Little One." The lyrics were transformed into a message of comfort and encouragement wherein the singers try to instill some hope of better days to come into a broken-hearted friend. ABBA was interested in breaking into the very lucrative Spanish-language music market.
They were just absolutely brilliant!! Their music was heard throughout the lands!
The men were musical geniuses, but with those women's vocals, they were pure gold!
