Kage848, The Stun Baton is great for hunting Moose. Just walk up and stun them, then switch to your Modern Axe and go to town on their head, easy hide armor. Moose drop 2 hides

you do not have to build in a straight line with the defensive walls for the logs to be connected. the lines only exist to show you that you are in a straight line, as long as you have the circle close to the other logs it is fine

Sons of the forest videos being recommended by yt to me didn't watch any of them, thought some of them are just riding the hype train. What I wanted was to watch the Giga Chad of "The Forest" gameplay one that really grinds and really explores every bit of the game... Unfortunately i forgot to subscribe and forgot the channel name. Then faintly remembered the channel logo was a letter and was color blue so, typed "the forest playthrough" about 2mins of scrolling bam found it, now subscribed...

Binged watched Kage "the forest" videos way back, started from S13 i think, then watched S1 to S15.. Loved all of them, maybe because Kage and my play style on survival games are somewhat similar...

My buddies and I have a base on an island we found and we got the zip line gun so we can zip line ourselves and also you can send logs from the mail and to our base. It’s great bc enemies cannot get to you except for winter when the mobs can walk across the ice.

The snow on the camp fire rocks made me think of the old workbenches in 7DTD!

1. That cave you ran through was super easy to just kill your way through. You would have ended up with full creepy armor and spares. the guys with chest split take only about 4 or 5 hits with the good axe. (they do a combo and you block till it finishes and just slash away no stress at all).
2. when you were crouching that entire first half with your lighter on you look at the bottom left and there is a stealth meter, your meter was completely full meaning you were fully visible.
3. Pro tip....If you equip your axe then equip your spear or bow or baton you can tap G to put away first weapon and it pulls out the previous weapon..(So you could shoot your stun gun then press G and the axe would come out for follow up slashing)

The cross is an amazing weapon as it stuns and sets guys on fire. Try it!

The cross is used for lighting the mutants on fire . Idk if it lights the tribe cannibals on fire tho. It will probably work on all the mutants that you can get creepy armor of

what I'm wondering (I just started today), my red bar was way down, and although I had no water or food or sleep needs, it wouldn't go up... mobs could just one-hit me in that state ;)

They are still connected, those lines are just to help you make 90* angles and straight walls, but if you noticed the circle moved around at the same distance around the previous log.
