I get where the Remco GC hype is coming from, but… it should at least die down a bit at this point. He is more like a fantastic all-rounder like Wout Van Aert, with maaaaybe slightly better climbing capability. But even that, am not sure anymore. And he could definitely use more and more of humbling circumstances like this stage.

Has too much muscle mass to be a pure climber but also employs bad tactics. All he needs to do in the mountains is to follow the wheel. He is so competitive that he can't stop himself from attacking. Perhaps he will learn.

I think today should be an inflection point in Remco's career. He should focus on wining again Donostia Klasikoa, maybe try to win 4 Liège like Alejandro Valverde and not much. He said some days before he considers Indurain as a reference for him. It is an insult to one of the best descenders of all time, maybe the best TT of history and 5 time Tour the France winner in a row. And 2 Giro, 2 Tour in a row. Remco is nothing and will never be even close to Indurain. And of course even far to Merckx. Welcome to reality for Remco's fans

Again i will say it one more time.. Soudal quicstep is invisteng too much to remco.. He is not a climber.. And its not gonna make him win the any grand tour when the stahes has lots of mountain stages... They need to develop him as a sprinter pure sprinter like wva and mvdp he will have a good career in that position.. Sorry to say that.. He cant beat those best climber in the world like pogacar do u think he has a chance on beating pogy in mountain if ever they have chance to race in same grand tour?
