House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 8 Leaked Scenes - Daeron Targaryen | Game of Thrones Prequel

In House of the Dragon season 2, episode 8, Daeron Targaryen will finally appear with his dragon, Tessarion, as he flies above and protects the Hightower army that's marching from Oldtown.

Daeron Targaryen, with his dragon Tessarion and the Hightower army, will win many battles, burn down cities, and make many houses bend the knee to his side as Daeron slowly becomes the biggest threat to Rhaenyra Targaryen’s rule after she takes King’s Landing, until his mysterious death.

Prince Daeron, also known as Daeron the Daring, is a prince of the Targaryen dynasty and the fourth-born child and third son of King Viserys Targaryen by his second wife, Queen Alicent Hightower. He is the younger half-brother of Rhaenyra Targaryen through his father's first wife and the younger brother of King Aegon Targaryen, Helaena Targaryen, and Aemond Targaryen through his mother, Alicent.

First, we will see Daeron Targaryen flying Tessarion in season 2, episode 8 of the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon. Then, in season 3, Daeron will have his first battle during the Battle of the Honeywine, in which Ormund Hightower will face defeat until Daeron arrives on Tessarion, saving his cousin and his army.

The Shield Islands, House Oakheart, and House Rowan will submit to the greens to avoid facing Daeron's Tessarion. Because his nephew (which on the show might be changed to his niece Jaehaera) dies at Bitterbridge, Daeron refuses to be merciful to Lady Caswell and has Tessarion burn the entire town during the sack of Bitterbridge.

Ulf White and Hugh Hammer are going to be sent by Rhaenyra to Tumbleton with their dragons, Silverwing and Vermithor, to defend the town against Daeron, but the Two Betrayers will betray Rhaenyra and side with the greens during the First Battle of Tumbleton.

During the Second Battle of Tumbleton, Prince Daeron mysteriously dies at the beginning of the battle, though it is not known exactly how he dies.

In the next season 2, episode 8, we will see Daeron Targaryen accompanying the Hightower army with his dragon Tessarion.

That’s a House of the Dragon season 2, episode 8 preview about Daeron Targaryen and his dragon Tessarion, accompanied by all the leaked scenes and information we have.

Season 2 episode 8 exists:
George R.R. Martin: I do not wish to hear of it.

Alicent practically killed all of em, her brother Gwayne, her lover Cole, her sons Aemond and Aegon... She told Rhaenyra where everyone is, how bad their situation is, pretty much all their plans, and offered her the city

Alicent kinda forgot that she started the war by pushing Aegon to claim the Iron Throne.

Daeron the daring. He's stated as being the biggest threat to the blacks in the books, helping the Hightower army marching up to retake Kings Landing

The only characters I care about, and I am excited for on the show are the Greens. So I guess I'm Team Green 💚

I think one of the more underrated aspects to any film or TV series are the writers and the editors. Don’t be too focused on the directors. For instance, we’re talking about how the Russos and RDJ are returning to MCU but we hardly mention *Stephen* *McFeely* returning and writing the next two Avengers movies. But where’s Christopher Markus? Did he cash out big and decided to retire? Markus and McFeely wrote all the MCU movies the Russos directed.

The director can only do so much but not all of them are writing the story. Then let’s look at the editing. That’s where the final cut is being made. In 1977, Marcia Lucas (George’s first wife) saved Star Wars thanks to her editing. The first cut of that film was horrible. I think HOT D S2 is suffering from bad pacing. S1 dealt with time jumps which was it’s glaring weakness. But looking back, most of HOT D’s better episodes came from Season 1.

There’s only been 3 good episodes, IMO, from Season 2: Episode 2, 4, and 7. That’s it. And I’m not as enamored with Episode 7 like most viewers. But mainly because I know what Hugh and Ulf will commit later on. I wasn’t cheering for them when they claimed their dragons. I’ve seen the leaked footage of Episode 8 and like what RedTeamReview said, it’s going to be quite divisive among the hardcore fandom.

ThronesVerse or whatever you want to call GRRM’s lore is reaching toxic levels of Star Wars fandom. There’s going to be a lot of b*tching on X and Reddit about what they’re going to see tomorrow night or Monday if you’re living outside the U.S. I have an issue with it but it’s not with Daemon this time. It’s a scene involving someone on Team Green. I’m like, WTF? Treason? That’s way out of character.

If you haven’t seen any of the leaked footage, I will say don’t expect it to be epic. It’s not reaching The Watchers on the Wall or Battle of the Bastards level. Not even Hardhome or Blackwater. Nowhere close. Perhaps this season was a little rushed or perhaps wasted? We were robbed two episodes from it. Then it meandered on different characters that went nowhere.

How many more baths do we need to see Alicent take if she isn’t getting stuffed by Criston? They could’ve at least introduced us to Daeron sooner or show us scenes on what Otto was doing in Oldtown to introduce viewers to the very kind and humble Daeron. While Daemon, Corlys, Baela, and Rhaena were completely wasted this season.

Rhaenys on Meleys and the acting from Tom and Rhys from Episode 2 were the standouts of this season. It almost feels like the HBO writers only wants us to root for Rhaenyra and we’re supposed to hate every other character who isn’t her. I will say viewers will enjoy a scene involving her when she goes to Harrenhal. UNCLE/DADDY D IS BACK!! But you will cringe when you hear those 3 words. ❄️

While Season 2 feels like a step back from Season 1, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Perhaps my expectations and my standards were unrealistically too high for it? I still enjoyed this season more than The Acolyte and The Boys S4. It’s not all bad. A little janky with not enough character development and bad pacing, but it’s still a QUALITY show. It’s not Game of Thrones S7 and S8 bad.

Perhaps when HOT D is completely finished whether it’s four seasons of it, we will say Season 2 was the worst of the lot. I really hope Season 3 and 4 gives us 10 episodes each. There’s going to be a lot of battles for S3. They better not skimp out and only show us scenes after the battle was fought. It will feel bittersweet when HOT D S2 wraps up tomorrow. Another two damn years waiting for the next one.

HOT D S2 Character Rankings
1. Rhaenys
2. Rhaenyra
3. Mysaria
4. Daemon (should be No. 1 or 2 but 🤦🏻)
5. Aemond
6. Aegon (great acting by Tom in Ep. 2)
7. Otto (great acting by Rhys in Ep. 2)
8. Jace (he does whine a lot)
9. Helaena

Underrated this season: Simon Strong (best damn facial reactions!)

I don’t even want to list 10 characters because I don’t want Alicent or Criston on there. Or Ulf after you see Ep. 8. I think Larys was better in S2 than Alicent. Story for the Velaryons went absolutely nowhere and same with Daemon’s daughters. But I’m hearing from RedTeamReview that the Velaryons will stand out more in Ep. 8. We shall see.

HOT D S2 Episode Rankings
1. 2x4 The Red Dragon and the Gold
2. 2x2 Rhaenyra the Cruel
3. 2x7 The Red Sowing
4. 2x1 A Son for a Son
5. 2x3 The Burning Mill
6. 2x6 Smallfolk (lowest rated on IMDb)
7. 2x5 Regent

I used to have Ep. 1 higher than Ep. 7, but rewatching it again, I prefer The Red Sowing a tad more. Ulf claiming Silverwing was pretty stupid though. RedTeamReview actually prefers Ep. 2 the most. It definitely had the best acting this season.

Overall, I give this season a B. I can understand some giving it a C. It was a mixed bag of good and boring episodes. Rook’s Rest and the aftermath of Blood & Cheese were the highlights of the season. Ep. 3, 5, and 6 felt like filler.

I think Season 3 is going to be a banger. Gullet, Fall of King’s Landing, and two battles in Tumbleton. And Daemon will no longer act like a ninny towards Rhaenyra.

this season was a bunch of NOTHING Blood and cheese and rook’s rest battle are the only things worth to remember. I have plenty of memories of season 1 but with this one only those 2 stand out

I really hope they do Tessarion justice she was around the same size as seasmoke and about one third of Vermithor and such a beautiful dragon called the blue queen.

So Daemon’s visions in the season 2 finale confirm Daenerys was the prince(ess) that was promised?

The way this is heading I'm 100% sure they are not burning Rhaenyra and getting her eaten by Aegon’s Sunfyre. They will probably have Sunfyre let loose his flame on her but like Daenerys she will be unburned or some shit like that
