00:00 Intro: We expect Spacex Starship moon lander to help NASA build the Artemis base camp, the moon base in NASA moon project Artemis, especially after the successful SpaceX Crew Dragon Demo-2 mission launching NASA astronauts to the ISS.
1:20 Besides Starship moon mission, NASA also chose SpaceX's new dragon cargo spacecraft, SpaceX Dragon XL, to resupply Artemis Lunar Gateway, and SpaceX Falcon Heavy to launch NASA Lunar Gateway.
3:45 If a human-rated Starship moon version hasn't been developed by 2024, NASA might first utilize SLS, Orion capsule and Blue Origin moon lander to carry out Artemis-3, the first crewed moon landing in NASA Artemis moon program.
7:17 The cargo version of SpaceX moon lander will deliver habitat modules and pressurized rovers for NASA Artemis base camp. Once SpaceX Starship lunar lander becomes human-rated, 100 NASA astronauts or moon colonists can arrive on the moon in SpaceX Starship moon lander per launch.
11:10 After the first SpaceX and NASA moon base being built at Shackleton Crater, our second moon base could be built on the far side of the moon with the help of SpaceX Starship moon lander. Thanks to the great payload capacity of SpaceX moon lander, NASA moon base will quickly grow into a moon colony or even a moon city. So by 2030, we might not only see Starship moon mission, but also SpaceX Starship Mars mission starting from NASA moon base.

Can't wait to look at the moon and think: ''Wow, there are people living there''

The "out takes" are great. Humanizing perceived perfection is what keeps it real. You "2" are a beautiful team - brains, humor and multiple languages for "word play" - these are just some of the components comprising your on air persona. Thanks again for educating, entertaining and sharing...

I’ve been subscribed to this channel for a few weeks now and I must say that this channel deserves far more subscribers than it already has right now. Subscribe!

Those little crappy lunar landers will be perfect to build a landing pad for spacex moonship.

Starship is a game changer, if we remove it from the ecuation we'll go nowhere

A comment by a viewer of another blog pointed out that the proposed Dynatics' Moon Landers would make wonderful "relatively short hop" Moon taxies for SpaceX. I fully agree. Starships and SpaceX Moon buggies could keep them resupplied with the disposable fuel cells that the design uses. Just trade empty cells for full ones like we do with small LP gas tanks at convenience stores here on Earth.

I was as surprised as you by NASA selecting SpaceX as one of the landers as well as supplying the Gateway station. Glad, but surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed the synopsis. I'm not as confident folks will want to live on a moving platform for gravity, but it may come to that. The wear on equipment and potential for a catastrophic failure worries me.
As usual, loved the show. Thanks for uploading.
Namaste.

Another great job Jixuan and Sebastian! I truly think that you are forward thinkers.. I feel the same way about if not SpaceX then go with Dynetics. Super funny when Jixuan had a hard time saying the lobby team🤣.. Think your work is fresh and inspiring! Can’t wait for the ✌️

150 million vs 1billion? Falcon Heavy is a bargain compared to SLS!

I have several comments. (1) You kept mentioning how long it might take to get Starship crew rated. However long Starship takes, it will take 2X longer for SLS and the 2 other proposed Moon Landers to get crew rated -- something you totally overlooked. (2) WHEN the Gateway becomes TOTALLY USELESS in orbit -- then have a Starship move the individual modules to the Moon's surface for use there. This idea comes 100% from watching this episode. (3) Will someone explain to me why the idea of spraying water over Moon habitats to form thick ice for VERY effective solar and cosmic radiation protection is never considered/discussed? IT IS VERY COLD ON THE MOON! It will be easy to keep the ice from melting from radiant heat. Ice hotels are built every winter on the Earth. Not a problem!

You’ve excelled yourself again. Very realistic graphics thanks and IMHO the best overview of the moon base and gateway so far, thanks.

I have to tell you that I look forward to your videos each week. You bring a good balance of technical knowledge, insights and a little humor (i.e. when the hulk comes out). Keep up with the great work. Oh and don't sell yourselves short, setup patrion.

It would be great to see Starship on the moon by 2024.
I was very shocked that just recently Elon Musk reaffirmed the 2022 goal of sending cargo to Mars! Starship to Mars (landing likely 2023) just a year earlier?!
If Elon launches a cargo ship to Mars in 2022, doesn’t it seem likely he would want to send one to the moon first? Of course the starship model would be different. Landing in no atmosphere instead of a thin atmosphere is still very different without aerobraking. But the similar propulsive landing part would be nicer to test when in near real-time communication on the moon rather than finding out minutes later if Starship successfully landed on Mars. They would be both autonomous, but with the moon landing, a last minute correction is still possible.

Dynetics, like the companies on the Lobby team, is also headquartered in Huntsville. The thing about Huntsville is there is SO much synergy available from all the aerospace companies there; the reps all know each other and the respective capabilities.
