Sweet video! I love Twister.... I own the Turbine version. I really enjoy it. Could you elaborate on how the atmos track is different? I'm not sure what "over the top" means.

You got my sub braddah, one of my all time favs since I saw it in cinemas back in the day, owned it on laserdisc, then DVD, bluray and for me laserdisc rocked over the other formats for me in terms of sound

Got it early last week, recently upgraded my sound system and man was it a joy.

Obviously this is the first time ever seeing it in 4k, but it’s funny how you remember a movie looking that clear and high res when you think about it. Love the color grading they did for the “greenage” sequence, having seen it myself in person.
I did a double feature with speed and twister that day.
Fun fact: they both end exactly the same.

The couple tie down to survive thru the last of the destruction, ends with them kissing while it's raining water/glass on them.

Thank you for the lovely video. However I have watched your earlier videos of Twister Turbine edition of Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D.. Curious to know: a Turbine edition of Dolby Atmos vs the present warner Dolby Atmos track on 4k and b. Auro 3D vs the present Dolby Atmos track on 4k disc. Please throw some light on this.

I am with you on human beings, when it came out I started to listen to more Van Halen songs. I saw this in theater and thought the Blu-ray was not good as one of the first ones. Love the cast and story, Carry Elwes I meet 2 times and a great guy that loved doing this movie

Love this movie!!! I'm tornado's fan since this movie back in 1996. Yeahh too much green in that scene but love the sound mix. I have a 5.2.2 Klipsch/Onkyo and sound amazing

What are the differences between this version in Dolby Atmos vs the version in Auro 3D? I want to buy a copy of the Auro 3D version but I'm curious if this new mix sounds better.

Well… I saw this movie for the first time on VHS when I was 5. The movie had been out for about a year. And I blame my dad, because the movie is still a personal favorite. I definitely understand more now though.

Don't think it's even out in the UK until October for some reason! Already got the Turbine version as there was no sign of this film ever being released (with Atmos) when it should really have been out for years in all honesty. Not really inclined to double dip on an imported copy. May wait and see if we get a regular case version in UK as I don't like paying extra for a bit of flimsy tin!

They dont always need to use active sound objects. And movies like Ready Player One proved that a static mix can be incredibly immersive based on how many people use it as demo material.

But, a movie like Twister absolutely screams for the active object treatment. Its just disappointing that there are sound mixers or directors out there still making decisions like this so far into the Atmos era. They should be conversant enough with the format that discussions like this are a thing of the past.

But at least the cow is an object. Thats gonna be fun to hear.

Ealan where do you get your dvd's from? I ordered the new dolby atmos movie "Gravity" from Amazon but received the 5.1 audio version so I returned it. Need a reliable source to purchase dvds.
